Todd and Erik are lifelong friends who started co-writing stories and screenplays as kids in the 1980s, growing ever more passionate writers as the years passed.

They’ve developed a seamless writing process where they create a story outline together, determine who will write the first draft of each chapter, then swap chapters so the other person can edit and inject his DNA into them. They meet throughout the week to discuss and finalize each chapter. This enables their stories to take on one voice - so much so - that Todd and Erik find it difficult to determine who wrote specific parts after completing their manuscripts.

Todd and Erik’s collective experiences bring depth to characters’ motives and emotions, while bringing an element of realism to the world-building in their science fiction stories. Erik has over twenty year’s experience writing articles, curricula, and guides that have equipped community leaders to initiate positive social change in communities around the world, while Todd has been in business management for thirty years, enjoys studying political science, and has a first-hand understanding of the struggles that come with military life. Together, Erik and Todd lay a sturdy path for readers to immerse themselves in the culture and emotions of imaginative and distant worlds.

Erik and Todd are both passionate readers with a love of science fiction, fantasy, and horror stories. Erik cites Frank Herbert, N.K. Jemisin, George R.R. Martin, and James S.A. Corey as a few of his favorite authors. Todd is particularly inspired by the novels Warday by Whitley Strieber and James Kunetka, The Keep by F. Paul Wilson, Eclipse by John Shirley, and Night of the Living Dead by John Russo and George Romero.

When Erik and Todd are not writing or reading, they are debating the feasibility of timelines in Star Wars movies or sharing music that inevitably becomes the ever-evolving soundtrack for their friendship.
