Marrizien’s Story
is a planned trilogy of science fiction novels written by Todd S.E. Vecere. The series is set in the Andromeda galaxy, and follows Tarra Marrizien and his granddaughter Larren.
The first novel in the trilogy is titled Saboteur.
Saboteur follows Tarra Marrizien who has infiltrated the political world of a hostile alien race. During his time as an undercover agent, he worked with operatives to sabotage the construction of a new enemy fleet. While waiting to execute his plan, a bombing of a communication center sets off a series of events that leads to his impending exposure, and he must now execute his mission prematurely.
Tarra flees without knowing his family’s whereabouts. Seeking sanctuary among old friends, he unexpectedly finds himself in the arms of a lost love and they struggle to reconcile their past.
During this time, Tarra learns that his granddaughter is in the grip of a renegade priest who uncovered his deeper secret – a familial tie to relics that could bring an end to all alien civilizations. He is forced to decide whether to abandon his undercover mission or to uphold his ancestral duty and rescue his granddaughter.
Saboteur is set on several planets, including DaVen Boch (the Se’lestion occupied planet and homeworld of Tarra Marrizien), Kai-Haf (the waterworld where countless generations of untold races sought to escape fears or to find new hopes), the Geode Moon of Ellygian (where DaVen Boch refugees are processed), and Tyrene (the central planet of the AcBen Territories).
